Now faster and more streamlined than ever, with increased support for the latest image formats, as well as providing nuanced control over quality and caching.</p><ul><li><p>Intelligent support for WebP has been added, offering smaller image file sizes for the same quality, falling back to traditional image formats where WebP is not supported.</p></li><li><p>Improved performance and stability, with faster image generation that can scale on-demand to meet any volume of traffic</p></li><li><p>Image URLs are even more SEO friendly</p></li><li><p>Images called using product_image_uri or content_image_uri can now be served directly from a CDN</p></li><li><p>Image quality can now be adjusted in real time</p></li><li><p>Full control of your image caches</p></li></ul><p>The new image engine will be rolling out across test sites over the next few weeks. These improvements will be transparent - all existing images will continue to work as they did before.
